The centre of Galway’s nightlife.

The joint venture acquisition and development of Kirwans Lane in the medieval heart of Galway, was a transformative moment for the city. With acquisition and construction beginning in 1991, it brought an area that had long fallen into abandon and misuse into the public realm. Through the meticulous restoration of a series of medieval townhouses and courtyards, Edward opened up the area as a retail and hospitality hub, while the residential elements of the masterplan ensured it became a vibrant area both by day and night. In so doing it paved the way for the creation of the Latin Quarter, the centre of Galway’s nightlife.
